崑曲之美：2012年秋季公演 The Beauty of Kunqu: 2012 Fall Concert

法拉盛公立圖書館及海外崑曲社在11月24日星期六下午2點，聯合舉辦「崑曲之美：2012年秋季公演」，由崑曲社的表演藝術家和傳習班學員聯合表演經典崑曲折子戲：《玉簪記》〈琴挑〉、《鳳凰山》〈百花贈劍〉、《牡丹亭》〈尋夢〉、《繡襦記》〈教歌〉，與愛好藝術的朋友們分享被聯合國教科文組織評選為“人類口頭和非物質遺產代表作”的崑曲表演藝術。演出地點為地下一樓劇場，免費入場。

On Saturday, November 24, 2012, 2 p.m. the Queens Public Library in Flushing and the Kunqu Society presented “The Beauty of Kunqu: 2012 Fall Concert.” Artists of the Kunqu Society together with students of its Kunqu Workshop performed highlight scenes from the Kunqu classics: “The Zither,” “Princess Florets,” “In Search of the Dream,” and “Teaching the Begging Trade.” Through these classic scenes the Kunqu Society offered to the general public the art and beauty of Kunqu, one of the “Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity” proclaimed by the United Nations Cultural, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 2001. The event was free and held in the auditorium of the library.
